Moci Imposed Fines On Shops That Sell Childrens Toys
The emergency team of Al-Siddiq Commercial Zone in the Consumer Protection Sector of Ministry of Commerce and Industry has imposed fines on six shops that sell children’s toys in Sharq area due to various violations such as price manipulation, selling higher than the declared and advertised price in addition to selling toys with obscene and immoral images, reports Al-Anba daily.
;Head of the team Hamid Al-Dhufairi explained that the violations included existence of two different prices on one commodity. For instance, the first price was KD 3.950 while the second was KD 4.950. This is a difference of KD 1 in the declared price, which is against the law. The irregularities also included the existence of children’s toys that violate specifications, as there are no warnings on them. Some toys did not have prices mentioned on them while some toys kept on display had obscene and immoral pictures on them.
