Minor Girl Impregnated By Her Father

An unidentified minor girl reportedly gave birth to a baby at a hospital about a month ago. Without going into any details,  the girl was impregnated by her father and the medical staff said the ‘victim’ tried to end her life or kill the baby because these are the two options in front of her, according to sources.The medical staff at the hospital has until now succeeded in preventing the girl from taking any drastic action. She has been put under special care and psychologists are working to get her out of the dilemma.Senior government officials including Minister of Health Dr Jamal Al-Harbi and Justice Minister Faleh al-Azab are making special efforts not to punish the girl to protect her from psychological and social point of view.

Because there is no clause, the Ministry of Social Affairs does not permit to take care of babies born to known parents. In this respect Minister Hind Al- Sabeeh has been asked to find a solution to the problem.The officials have also requested the ministers of Justice and Interior to punish the father. Professor of Sharia at the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies Abdul Mohsen Zabin Al-Mutairi said this crime is no less than murder.Al-Mutairi added the baby will be registered under the name of mother but a fake father. He also added, the mental condition of the ‘rapist’ should be taken into account and find out if he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the crime was committed.

Meanwhile, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Hamoud Al Qasha’an revealed the incest as become social phenomena and varies from one community to another.
