Ministry Of Health Considers Fingerprint System For Primary Healthcare Doctors
The Ministry of Health is contemplating the implementation of a fingerprint attendance and departure system for primary healthcare doctors, marking a significant step in enhancing accountability within the sector. According to informed sources within the health sector speaking to Al-Jarida, this initiative is part of a broader commitment to ensure adherence to regulatory standards across all government employees.
Sources reveal that this move aligns with existing regulations set forth by the Civil Service Commission, wherein employees, including administrators and nurses, are already subject to fingerprinting protocols. Compliance with this system constitutes a notable portion, 20%, of the annual evaluation criteria for employees.
Expanding the fingerprint system to encompass doctors operating in dispensaries serves to proactively address potential scrutiny from regulatory bodies while fostering a culture of accountability within the Ministry. With approximately 10,350 human doctors employed across its hospitals and primary healthcare centers, the Ministry aims to modernize administrative processes while upholding regulatory standards.
As the Ministry deliberates on the implementation of this initiative, it underscores its commitment to streamlining operations and ensuring compliance within the healthcare sector.
