Ministry Ends Services Of ‘not-needed’ Consultants
Minister of Social Affairs and Community Development, and Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Misha’an Al-Otaibi, said 15 consultants are working in the office of the Minister of Social Affairs and Community Development since 2017, whose salary ranged between 1,000 and 2,000 dinars. All of them have been terminated except for one.
In response to a parliamentary question submitted by MP Ahmad Al-Azmi, Al-Otaibi said the employment of these consultants did not benefit the social affairs or community development other than the monthly stipend paid to them by the Civil Service Council (CSC). With regard to the Public Authority for Manpower, 6 consultants were hired in 2017 whose salaries ranged between 500 and 1,500 dinars. The services of all of them have been terminated except for one consultant.
