Minister Vows Loyalty To Oath
Minister of Social Affairs Dr Ghadeer Aseeri, in response to the recent parliamentary criticisms, asserted her absolute commitment to national principles in both local and international arenas. She said the social media has been the field where such offences and unsupported criticism were being publicized and spread without factual support or evidences. Dr Aseeri stressed that she is committed to the oath she took in front of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. She clarified that she welcomes all criticisms and advices that she would receive, considering the fact that she now holds such a position that concerns the general public.
Dr Aseeri declared that she will do all she can to meet the trust placed upon her by His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al- Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah with the help of her fellow ministers, and deliver on the needs and desires of the Kuwaiti public.
In another development, MP Mohammad Hussein Al-Dallal submitted a parliamentary question to the Minister of Finance and Acting State Minister for Economic Affairs Mariam Al-Aqeel to ask about the number of pilots of Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) who recently resigned, and the reasons behind their resignation.

He also asked for information about the number of employees in supervisory positions in KAC from the beginning of 2018 until now, and their positions. MP Al-Dallal asked about the procedures taken by Ministry of Finance and KAC to deal with the complaints of the pilots, and their subsequent resignation, adding, “Was a committee formed to investigate this issue? If the answer is ‘Yes’, provide me with a copy of the fi nal report”. Meanwhile, MP Abdullah Al-Kandari said he, along with MP Dr Bader Al- Mulla, submitted a proposal to assign the State Audit Bureau for preparing a comprehensive report about the state investments on the future generations’ oil share. He said the report should include necessary observations as well as expose any crimes of embezzlement and fi nancial violations.
Furthermore, MP Al-Humaidhi Al- Subai’e submitted a proposal to the National Assembly to demand Ministry of Public Works and Public Authority for Roads and Transportation (PART) to allocate a special lane for cyclists on the public roads, considering the increasing number of cycling incidents witnessed in Kuwait recently. Additionally, MP Askar Al-Enezi presented a bill that recommends the need to hold treatment programs for children suffering from autism with the aim of helping them merge in the society. He suggested building a library with books, researches and references concerning autism.
MP Al-Enezi also recommended launching a hotline number for receiving calls from the parents of autistic children, and creating branches of Kuwait Autism Center in all governorates of Kuwait. He suggested the issuance of special ID cards for autistic children in order to facilitate their transactions in hospitals, airports and public service institutions.
