Many Offices Sheltering Runaway Maids

Ministry of Interior disclosed that several violations have been issued against domestic labor offices for sheltering absconding workers, reports Al-Seyassah daily. A statement issued by the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media indicates the campaign was part of efforts by the Domestic Labor Section at the Directorate General for Residency Affairs to pursue absconding workers. It affirmed that individuals arrested have since been referred to relevant authorities for legal action, and the campaign will continue over an indeterminate period across all six governorates
