Licenses For Home Delivery Companies With Strict Controls Are Under Study By The Government
Currently, the ministries of Interior and Commerce and Industry are reviewing the decision to cease licensing companies providing home delivery and logistics services, and to resume issuing new licenses.
It is important to note that the Ministry of Interior has suspended the issuance of licenses for consumer orders for four years, as it is responsible for final approval of the issuance of such licenses.
In the past few weeks, several meetings were held between representatives of the Ministry of Interior and Commerce to discuss the suspension of commercial licenses to deliver consumer orders.
There are two points of view in this regard, according to the sources. The first is in favor of issuing licenses with strict controls, provided that they are limited to those registered under "Chapter Five" at the Public Institute for Social Security and other specific categories.
As a result of the saturated market for delivery services of consumer orders on the one hand, it is necessary to continue with the decision to stop issuing licenses for consumer delivery services. As a result of the new delivery licenses, more cars might be on the roads, causing the traffic crisis to worsen.
