Kuwait's Parliament Speaker Meets With European Union And British Officials

Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim welcomed in his office on Tuesday the European Union Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, Sven Koopmans, who is presently in the nation on an official visit.

The EU Ambassador to Kuwait, Cristian Tudor, attended the conference, according to the "Al-Dustor" News Network, and applauded international efforts to establish justice and equality in the Middle East area.

On her official visit to the Kingdom, Al-Ghanim also met with the British Minister of State for Asia and the Middle East Affairs, and they discussed a variety of matters of mutual interest. Belinda Lewis, the British Ambassador to Kuwait, was present during the meeting. - KUNA
