Kuwaiti Woman Survives Murder Attempt By Nephew

A Kuwaiti woman escaped the murderous intentions of her nephew after he stabbed her several times while she was sleeping due to a family disagreement, Al Rai daily reports. The incident is said to have taken place in Al Dhaher area, and the suspect, in his 30s, allegedly stabbed the woman eight times with the intent to kill.

The woman was taken to the Adan Hospital in a critical condition while the suspect was arrested and detained at a local police station.

The daily said, quoting a security source, that the operations room of the Ministry of Interior received a report about the incident, and followed through by dispatching a security authority with paramedics to the scene. They found the woman drenched in blood.

Police have seized the murder weapon in the stabbing, and a case of attempted murder has been registered against the suspect.
