Kuwait To Mobilize Officers To Ensure School Traffic
The Ministry of Interior has crafted a new strategy to ensure traffic flow with onset of the new scholastic year. The ministry said in a statement issued on Tuesday that the MoI Undersecretary, Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahad, during a meeting with field assistant undersecretaries, noted that according to the plan, the largest number possible of ranking officers of the police and traffic police would be stationed at key locations and intersections to ensure traffic flow during schools’ hours.
He urged the senior officers who took part in the meeting, particularly devoted for examining the strategy, to be patient and deal with any trivial or surprise matters and situations that may impede the traffic. “Broad smiles and patience must be the marks of the security personnel during the mission, where they should act to solve small accidents and deal promptly with surprise situations that may happen on the roads to prevent traffic obstruction,” the Undersecretary said during the meeting.
Start of the scholastic year is usually distinguished with congestions on the roads, a situation that also warrants cooperation on part of the motorists, Lt Gen Al-Fahad stressed. He indicated that roads close to schools are expected to witness the highest congestions; thus such locations should be overseen by the officers in particular.
