Kuwait Leads 14 Places In The Global Environmental Performance Index

Kuwait recorded a qualitative leap in the global environmental performance index issued by the Yale University Environmental Center, ranking 47th out of 180 countries subject to evaluation, after it was ranked 61st in 2018.

Kuwait ranked second in the Arab world and 47th globally in The Environmental Performance Index, which focuses on indicators of environmental health, the vitality of the ecosystem, and everything related to sustainability.

In this regard, the Director General of the General Authority for the Environment and Chairman of the Board of Directors Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmad valued the efforts of the state’s governmental, private and voluntary institutions working in improving the environmental conditions in the country and the mechanisms for dealing with new policies of the Environment Public Authority in light of the Environmental Protection Law No. 42 of 2014 and its amendments, which resulted About this notable progress of the Kuwait site internationally.
