Kuwait FM: Indian Plane Will Transport Mortal Remains Of Fire Victims

Indian plane will transport the mortal remains of the victims of Wednesday's fire tragedy after completing all the formalities, the Kuwait Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya said. Meanwhile, Kuwaiti aircraft are also fully prepared, he added.

Earlier, the Amir of Kuwait His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah instructed to arrange a plane to send the mortal remains of those who lost their life in the labour camp fire in Mangaf. Indian Air force also said that they are ready to send air force plane to Kuwait to bring the mortal remains to India.

Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya earlier today met with the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Shri Kirti Vardhan Singh and discussed the follow up on the incident and the steps for transfer of the mortal remains. "We are cooperating with India government in every way, and the visiting Indian Minister has also met with the Kuwait Minister of Interior and Minister of Health,” Al-Yahya said.

Regarding compensation for the deceased, Al-Yahya said that it will be announced later.
