Kuwait Female Students File Lawsuits

22 September 2016 Crime News

A number of female students who were refused admission by the Kuwait University, specifically to the College of Human Medicine, have filed lawsuits, reports Al- Qabas daily quoting informed sources. The same sources said the students have filed for compensation and if a court rules in their favor the verdict can cost the university KD 2 million. The students claim all male students who were given admission had gained much lower marks than them. The source added earlier the Court of Cassation had ruled in favor of the students and given them KD 5,001 each temporary compensation, thus opening the door for them to file lawsuits for bigger amounts. The source pointed out so far 10 students have filed lawsuits and each of them is seeking KD 200,000 in compensation.
