Kuwait Airport Handled 1.2 Million Passengers In September
Kuwait International Airport received 1,250,456 passengers this September, according to the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation.
The acting Director General of the Department, Imad Al-Jalawi, told KUNA that last September, Kuwait International Airport witnessed an 11 percent increase in passenger traffic, a 19 percent increase in aircraft traffic, and an 8 percent increase in air cargo traffic compared to last September.
The number of arriving passengers reached 675,768 last September, the number of outgoing passengers was 574,688, and the total number of transit passengers reached 142,628, an increase of 44 percent over September of 2022.
According to him, 11,814 flights were operated to and from the Airport last September, compared to 9,933 flights in September last year. He pointed out that Dubai, Cairo, Istanbul, Sabiha, Jeddah, and Doha were the most popular destinations in September.
Al-Jalawi reported that air freight movement in September was about 18.9 million kilograms, with 14.8 million kilograms of incoming cargo and 4.1 million kilograms of outgoing cargo.
