Kuwait, Sudan Discuss Boost In Bilateral Ties
Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al- Sabah met with visiting Sudanese Foreign Minister Dirdiri Al-Dakheri on Thursday. They discussed distinguished and close relations between both brotherly countries, ways of promoting and developing them in all fields and the latest regional developments as well as issues of mutual interest.
Sudanese Ambassador to Kuwait Mohieddin Salem and several other Sudanese officials were present at the meeting, while Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah and a number of senior officials of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs represented the State of Kuwait during the meeting.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al- Saleh discussed on Thursday with the French Ambassador to Kuwait Marie Masdupuy and Total Director General Dr Tewfic Baidoun means of cementing the distinctive relations between the two friendly countries in various sectors.
Ambassador Masdupuy praised, during her reception by the minister at his bureau at Seif Palace, the State of Kuwait support for French companies operating in the country. For his part, Baidoun boasted of the solid commercial ties between Total – Kuwait branch – with Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), expressing readiness to offer services and consultation to the Kuwaiti oil sector. Minister Al-Saleh expressed satisfaction at level of the Kuwaiti- French relations. The Kuwaiti Government and people dedicate special concern for bolstering the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, he added.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah left the country Thursday, accompanied by a high-level military delegation, for Brussels to attend an anti-IS meeting. The visit comes to attend the ministerial meeting of the member states of the international coalition to combat the so-called Islamic State (IS), to be held at NATO headquarters, Directorate of Moral Guidance and Public Relations of the Ministry of Defense said in a statement. He was seen off at the airport by Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army Lieutenant General Mohammad Al-Khader, Deputy Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nawaf Al- Ahmad Al-Sabah and a number of senior army officers.
