Judicial Rulings Issued On Cases In Court Since Long
Three judicial rulings were issued this Sunday on lawsuits that have been on the forefront in the recent months, and perhaps even recent years, says Al-Seyassah. The Criminal Court presided over by Judge Nayef Al-Dhahoum sentenced in absentia the former secretary- general of the so-called “Ummah Party” Dr Hakim Al-Mutairi, to life imprisonment for the leaked recordings of a meeting with the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. The Criminal Court also sentenced MP Marzouq Al-Khalifa, former MP Sultan Al-Lughaissim, and six others to two-year imprisonment with hard labor, and a bail bond of KD 5,000 each to suspend the ruling over the case of “Shammar consultation meetings in the fourth constituency”.
