Job Vacancies In Moe Threatening The Stability Of Education System
The job vacancies in the Ministry of Education are threatening the stability of the education system either because of compulsory retirement or because of judicial decisions, reports Al- Rai daily quoting education sources.
According to the same sources the most important departments which are bearing the brunt of critical decisions are those managed by long-term assignments, namely the Department of Special Education, Technology, Coordination and Planning, in 3 educational zones and dozens of other sections in the Ministry’s office and educational zones and according to decisions of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) the duration of the assignment must not exceed 60 days while in some departments it has exceeded a full year.
The sources cited the Audit Bureau report which was issued recently which resulted in the examination and audit of the Ministry of Education for the financial year 2018- 2019.
The report criticized the ministry’s continued non-occupancy of some vacant supervisory posts in the various organizational units and not taking the necessary procedures to fill them in accordance with the provisions of the CSC Resolution No. 25/2006, which has led to weak internal control due to the incumbents of other supervisory functions, which is not consistent with the large number of employees in the ministry and the large number of organizational units in the structure of the ministry.
