Jleeb Al-shuyoukh Is Under Tighter Control By The Interior Ministry
The Ministry of Interior increased its grip on the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh region, which is regarded as the most hospitable place for expatriates, notable violators of residency restrictions, as part of its strategy of encircling residency violators and outlaws in their areas of residence.
The ministry stationed patrols throughout the area, while fixed security points known as "kiosks" were set up at the entrances and exits of Jleeb, Abbasiya, and Al-Hasawi, with barriers erected, in preparation for launching a wide security campaign to apprehend violators of the residence law and raid suspicious homes where immoral acts are carried out or violators have turned them into Liquor factories, as well as putting an end the phenomenon of random stalls and markets, most of whose goods are stolen.
"Al-Rai" traversed the area, keeping an eye on the security presence and the anticipation of the green light to encircle violators with a cordon. "All governorates and regions of the country are witnessing great security activity from all sectors of the ministry, with the support of other government agencies, to clamp down on violators and wanted persons," security sources said, adding that "security campaigns are continuing, and will not stop around the clock, and at different times." The Ministry of the Interior also keeps track of expatriates' movements from singles-heavy areas to other locations.
"The ministry will not allow bachelors to live in private housing," she said, adding that "the shops that have been set up around the Jleeb, as well as at the entrances and exits, are fixed security points, and the security men have full powers to deal with any suspect or wanted, firmly and applying the law to everyone."
"The Ministry of Interior continues to seek wanted persons and residence violators, and residents are warned against hiding any offender or wanted person so that they do not face legal consequences," the sources stated. In the case of a citizen who receives a violator in his home or hides him from the security forces' gaze, in the public interest, he will be deported from the country."
