Indian Man Arrested For Murdering Son, Chopping Up Body
On Sunday, police reported that a retired Transport Department official battered his son to death after an argument, chopped up his body, and dumped it in different parts of Ahmedabad.
In a statement to the media, Prem Veer Singh said: "Nilesh Joshi is a retired Inspector of the state transport service. He had an alcoholic son, Swayam. In a fit of rage, he hit his son with a pestle on his head for at least seven to eight times and killed him." The father and son had an argument over the son's drinking problem on Monday or Tuesday.
Then Joshi devised a plan to conceal his crime. A son's body was cut up into three pieces by his father, who threw one half in a sack in Vasna and the other half in Ellisbridge after buying an electric cutter and plastic bags. The head of the victim, however, has not yet been located, the official said.
In addition to fleeing to Nepal, the accused boarded a train from Surat to Gorakhpur. He was captured by the police when the train reached Rajasthan.
In order to discover more details about the crime, including where the body's missing head is located, the police will bring him before the court and seek his custody.
