India And Philippines Domestic Workers Only In First Phase Of Return
The spokesman for the General Administration of Civil Aviation, Saad Al-Otaibi, revealed that the first phase of the return of domestic workers, which starts on March 7, includes India and the Philippines and the second phase will include the rest of the countries, Al-Qabas reported.
The Cabinet instructed the concerned authorities to complete the legal aspects and detailed procedures necessary to implement the plan for the return of domestic workers, which was submitted to it by the Civil Aviation Yesterday.
During the weekly meeting, headed by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, the Council approved the return plan, starting next Monday, corresponding to December 7, with logistical services being provided at a value of 270 dinars for a single domestic worker without the travel ticket.
A responsible source revealed to Al-Qabas that the expenses of returning domestic workers, which were approved by the Council of Ministers yesterday, will be at the expense of the sponsor, and that their return from the banned countries to Kuwait is limited to boarding national airlines only.
The source confirmed that the country will receive no more than 600 workers per day, as a maximum, on two to three trips, explaining that the cost of one domestic worker includes housing, transportation, PCR checks, and the three meals provided daily in quarantine.
