In Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, GTD Cracks Down On Traffic Law Violations
Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Adwani, Assistant Director of the General Traffic Department for Technical Affairs, reaffirmed the department's unwavering commitment to combatting all forms of traffic violations, especially those stemming from unauthorized garages and workshops operating in defiance of the law.
In a recent statement to Al-Jarida, Al-Adwani underscored the department's dedication to safeguarding the safety of citizens, residents, and road users by eradicating such illicit activities.
Highlighting the concerning proliferation of negative phenomena, particularly in areas like Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Al-Adwani assured that concerted government efforts are in progress to tackle these challenges head-on.
During a recent security campaign in the area, a five-member committee comprising representatives from various government sectors targeted unauthorized garages and workshops. The outcome included the closure of 32 unlicensed workshops and the issuance of numerous warnings and summonses.
Major Abdullah Bu Hassan, from the Public Relations and Traffic Awareness Department at the General Traffic Department, provided further insights into the campaign's results.
These encompassed the issuance of 190 traffic violations, vehicle seizures, and closure of workshops operating without licenses. Additionally, inspectors from diverse government agencies apprehended violators of residency and labor laws, placed warnings on abandoned vehicles, and shut down unlicensed restaurants and grocery stores.
Furthermore, inspectors uncovered stolen electrical cables in a warehouse and apprehended individuals involved in their theft. These collaborative endeavors underscore Kuwait's resolve to enforce traffic laws rigorously and uphold public safety.
