Wednesday, from three in the morning until seven in the evening, it was a nightmare for second-hand car owners whose cars were not in good condition and did not meet security and durability requirements when drivers without valid driving licenses were being inspected on Al-Mutla'a and Al-Abdali roads.
Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, Undersecretary of the Traffic and Operations Sector, Brigadier General Muhammad Farraj Al-Adwani, and the men of the Technical Inspection Department, led by Brigadier General Mishaal Al-Suwaiji, attended the inspection upon the Minister of Interior's instruction. As reported by the daily, the entire area was cordoned off and hundreds of citations were issued to those who violated the law and whose vehicles were unfit for the road.
