Hawally Municipality Cleans Salmiya And Hawally
The Kuwait Municipality's Public Relations Department announced that the Hawalli Municipality branch's Department of General Cleanliness and Road Works has conducted an extensive field campaign in the Hawalli and Salmiya areas to remove everything that obstructs the road and distorts the public view, as well as to ensure that the shops in the area comply with the General Hygiene Regulations' terms and conditions.
The goal of intensive field campaigns, according to a local Arabic daily quoting Muhammad al-Jabaa, Director of Public Hygiene and Road Works Department in the Hawally Governorate Municipality Branch, was to monitor violators and take all legal measures against them, pointing out that the supervisory team pays great attention to raising the level of cleanliness in the areas under supervision.
According to Al-Jabaa, the campaign ran from April 1 to 5 and resulted in the removal of 45 abandoned and scrap cars after all legal steps had been followed and the warning period had expired. The vehicles have been sent to the city's car reservation system.
