Fraud Has Been Discovered In The Printing Of Invitation Cards
In an unprecedented incident, security sources said a fraud has been discovered in the printing of invitation cards for the graduation ceremony of 43 cadets officers of the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences by HH the Amir, reports Al-Rai daily.
The sources said about 150 forged invitation cards were discovered which were not printed in the printing presses not belonging to the Academy. The invitation cards printed at the Academy printing presses are approved and distributed to guests approved by the authorities.
The sources pointed out the forgery was discovered when the head of the ceremony found out there were more people than had been invited for the ceremony and launched an inquiry into the incident. The sources stressed this was done in utmost secrecy because this constitutes a ‘security breach’, especially since the ceremony was patronized by HH the Amir, other senior officials and politicians.
The sources pointed out investigations led to a printing press in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh which is run by two Egyptians.
During interrogation they said a student whom they cannot identify brought a sample of the card and asked to print 150 cards. The added, they treated the student as any other customer.
The sources pointed out after the interrogations the Egyptians have been referred to the Deportation Center and investigations are underway to find the main culprit and what was the motive behind printing the cards and inviting people.
