For Deportees Without Passports, Kuwait Will Streamline Processes

Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, also serving as the Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior, undertook an inspection visit to the Department of Deportation and Temporary Detention Affairs. Accompanied by Sheikh Hamoud Al-Mubarak, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Financial Affairs, Sheikh Fahd's objective was to oversee operations, identify challenges, and devise solutions.

During the visit, Sheikh Fahd evaluated the capacity of the deportation prison and inspected various prisoner wards, including those housing male and female inmates. He actively listened to the concerns and grievances of the inmates, prioritizing their most pressing issues.

In response to the observations and complaints, Sheikh Fahd issued directives to address the obstacles faced by inmates within the legal framework. He stressed the importance of establishing mechanisms to streamline procedures for deportees, especially those lacking passports, necessitating close coordination with relevant embassies for swift repatriation.

Furthermore, Sheikh Fahd emphasized the need to rectify all deficiencies within the administration of deportation and temporary detention affairs. He outlined a forward-looking vision aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and eliminating obstacles and challenges within this critical administrative domain.

Additionally, Sheikh Fahd visited the Juvenile Administration Building, also known as the Social Evaluation House, reaffirming the government's commitment to addressing various aspects of the nation's corrections and rehabilitation system.
