Fire Destroys Auto Part Shops In Mirqab

Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFD) said firemen from six stations have put out a fire that broke out in stores selling tires and car parts in Mirqab early Thursday.

After receiving a call on the fire's breakout at 2:00 am, one of the department's teams arrived at the scene within two minutes, KFD said in a press statement.

It added that nine stores were affected by the fire which stretched to 2,500 square meters, while the firemen were able to protect over 50 vehicles from catching fire.

No people were hurt in the fire and the directorate opened an investigation to determine the cause of fire.
