Fighting In Open Area In Salmi
Hawalli Investigation Unit affiliated to the General Criminal Investigation Department unraveled mystery surrounding the corpse of a new born baby kept inside a bag and dumped in the treasury of a mosque in Salmiya area.
A statement issued by General Department of Public Relations and Security Media indicated acting Director of the Criminal Investigation Department Brigadier Muhammad Al-Sharhan formed a team of detectives to collect relevant information from the crime scene, including the CCTV footage, after receiving report about the incident. Investigation led to a Kuwaiti girl born in 1982, identified as Azari Faisal, who lives in the neighborhood.
Apparently, she had given birth at home a couple of days earlier. The suspect was summoned to Salmiya Investigation Unit where she admitted the crime, saying she decided to get rid of the baby — as he was the product of an illegitimate relationship with a citizen born in 1986 also identified as Ali Waleed. She stressed the man is currently in a correctional facility. She was referred to relevant authorities to relevant authority. Further investigations revealed that the girl is involved in financial cases estimated at KD 6,000.
