Family Court Dissolved Marriage Between A Plaintiff And His Estranged Wife
The Family Court dissolved marriage between a plaintiff and his estranged wife, and ordered the woman to refund dowry of KD 6,000 while forfeiting all her rights associated with the divorce. Plaintiff lawyer Mubarak Al- Khashab filed a lawsuit against the woman on behalf of his client and prayed the court to dissolve the marriage. He also demanded refund of the dowry and forfeiting of the woman’s rights associated with divorce. He told the court that his client got married to the woman, paid the dowry in advance, and prepared her matrimonial home, but she refused to enter the home without justification. He supported the claim with relevant documents. In the meantime, the court assigned the Family Consultations Department to reconcile the couple with witnesses from the two sides. The woman, through her witnesses, claimed the plaintiff was had impotence related disease and all arrangements to seek medical assistance had proved futile. She also turned down the accommodation because the furniture provided was below standard the she had requested, according to witnesses. The court referred the man to forensics for medical test to confirm the claim and it became apparent that he was potent and in sound health condition.Â
