Detention Extended

Detention Renewal Judge has decided to extend the detention of a lawyer, journalist and an employee of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to Aug 28 for further investigations concerning the case referred to as “Ateej Al-Mesyan”. Reportedly, the suspects are accused of insulting His Highness the Amir and the judicial authority among others, spreading false news, and publishing official documents belonging to government authorities. During investigations, they completely denied the allegations. In the latest hearing, the suspects came from Central Prison and attended the session with the defense teams.
