Detectives Arrested 87 Persons Who Violated The Residency And Labor Laws
Detectives from the Residency Affairs Department in the Interior Ministry arrested 87 persons found to have violated the Residency and Labor laws. In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media General Department received information that a house in Jleeb Al-Shoyoukh serves as shelter for a huge number of Residency Law violators and absconders who engage in immoral activities, sell alcohol, conduct human trade and hold people against their will. Based on the tip-off, a task force team was formed to verify the information. After taking the necessary legal measures, the officers raided the house and arrested 31 individuals of various nationalities who violated the Residency and Labor laws and all of them are on Article 20 visa.
During initial investigation, those arrested admitted to purchasing visas and some of them are wanted by law for involvement in several cases. Also, officers carried out a security campaign along Wafra Road in Ahmadi Governorate resulting in the arrest of 56 persons who were reported to be utilizing the road to sell grocery items while majority of them hold Article 20 visa and others are on Article 18 visa.
