Deportation Expected As 5 Expats Nabbed For Fighting In Public With Shoes And Pipes

The Ahmadi police have arrested 5 expatriates of different nationalities for fighting in a public area and assaulting each other using shoes and an iron pipe.

The arrest came after a video clip went viral. It has been reported the incident happened at a commercial market when workers were cleaning the area in anticipation of the second stage of the partial lifting of curfew when commercial markets are expected to open (Tuesday) June 30, 2020.

A security source said none of these people have filed cases, but as soon as the clip was circulated, police rushed to the spot and arrested the men. The source pointed those involved may be deported.

The source has called on all residents and expatriates to abide by the law. On the other hand, police have arrested 4 for fighting inside their house in Bneid Al-Qar, and a case was registered.

According to a security source, the fight was between Indians and Egyptians. They were taken to the Al-Dasman Police Station and are believed to be staying in the same area.
