Dcgd Registered 38 Drug Cases In May

The Drug Control General Department (DCGD) registered 38 drug trafficking cases and arrested 46 persons from the beginning until the middle of this month. A security source disclosed the securitymen confiscated 2,358 kilograms of ice drugs, 1,889 kilograms of hashish, 1,730 kilograms of heroin, 864 grams of chemical substances and 10,177 narcotic pills within this period. A total of 28 persons found to have assisted drug dealers were referred to the Sentences Enforcement Department, in addition to an undisclosed number of people involved in traffic-related cases some of whom were sentenced to 18 years in prison.
