Court Rules In Favor Of Masseuse
The Summary Proceedings Circuit at the Court of First Instance ordered a famous health institute to hand over the passport of a woman it employed as a masseuse. Lawyer Khawlah Al-Hassawi representing the woman explained in court that her client works as masseuse in the aforementioned health institute that took possession of her passport and refused to return it. She said her client had no other option than seek legal redress after all entreaties for the defendant to do the needful proved futile. The court agreed that the institute did not have any legal ground to keep the passport of its staff, and the act is tantamount to curtailing the rights of the plaintiff.
