Court Acquitted A Citizen Who Was Accused In Beating His Wife

The Misdemeanor Court acquitted a citizen of beating his wife and stealing KD 200 from her. Lawyer for the accused, Attorney Abdulrahman Al-Watari, argued in court that the accusations against his client were fabricated to force him to divorce his wife and grant her rights. Al-Watari pointed out the lack of evidence for the court to punish the accused. He said no one witnessed the alleged beating and stealing, indicating the wife fl ed from their house and she left her bag there. He added the plaintiff did not mention that her iPhone was inside the bag, thereby, arousing suspicion regarding the accusations hurled at his client.
