Court Acquitted 3 Persons Of Forging Medical Reports To Apply For Sick Leaves

The Court of Appeals upheld the verdict of the Criminal Court which acquitted three persons of forging medical reports to apply for sick leaves, thereby, siphoning off public money. The Public Prosecution charged the trio with forging official documents (medical reports) which contained the medical board recommendations from a public hospital, in addition to forging hospital stamps and signatures. Defense lawyer, Attorney Fayez Shadeed Al-Mutairi demanded for acquittal of his clients due to lack of incriminating evidence and the inconclusive investigations.
