Committee Approves Plan For Domestic Workers

The Parliamentary Interior and Defense Committee adopted a proposal by National Assembly Secretary MP Farz Al-Daihani to offer visas for domestic workers while complying with Ministry of Health norms and regulations.

The committee's report on Al-proposal Daihani's was published in a local Arabic daily, which stated that given Kuwaiti families' urgent need for domestic labor, particularly in light of many families caring for disabled individuals, people with special needs, and the elderly, and most parents working, there is an urgent need for domestic workers, and since the government has allowed the entry of all workers stuck abroad, whether domestic or private sector workers, there is an urgent need for domestic workers.
