Canceling The Operetta On National Holidays Saves Kd400,000

The Ministry of Education (MoE) is planning to cancel the singing operetta that is organized annually with the participation of about 1,200 students in Bayan Palace on the occasion of national holidays celebrations, an educational source revealed to Al-Rai daily.

The reason given for the cancellation is the health situation the country is going through and the repercussions of the Coronavirus that require social distancing among residents.

The source said that the necessary budget for members of the work teams in charge of supervising and preparing for this ceremony, which is estimated at KD400,000 dinars annually, will be transferred on March 31, at the end of the fiscal year, to the Ministry of Finance including with other projects.
