Asian Storekeeper Kidnapped And Robbed By Fake Police
An unknown individual impersonated a policeman, kidnapped an Asian storekeeper from Sulaibikhat area, took him to a desert area, beat him and robbed him of KD 380.
According to security sources, the victim, who works in a convenience store in Sulaibikhat area, was approached by a man who claimed to be a policeman. The latter ordered him to close down the shop and get into his vehicle because he was wanted by law.
The victim called his sponsor and informed him about the incident, and the sponsor told him to given the mobile phone to the policeman.
When he asked the suspect about the reason for taking his employee, the suspect told him not to worry and he was taking him for questioning over a minor matter.
After that, he disconnected the call. The victim’s sponsor then went to the convenience store and found it closed and his storekeeper missing.
After one hour, he received a message from the victim who said the suspect left him in a desert area after beating him and stealing his money. After rescuing the victim, the sponsor went to the nearest police station and filed a case. Investigations are ongoing to find and arrest the suspect
