After Long Suffering, Citizens Call The Ease Of Restrictions A Well-deserved Measure
Kuwait has been suffering from countless extraordinary measures, such as closures, partial and total bans, affecting various aspects of everyday life for more than two years. But as Kuwaiti life returns to normal in the new year, it breathes a sigh of relief. Despite all the restrictions imposed by the Cabinet to contain the spread of Covid-19, people were grinning on the first day of implementation as they were able to freely enter shops and supermarkets, regardless of whether they had been vaccinated or not.
The Al-Anba newspaper conducted a survey to find out how these decisions affected local residents and citizens in general.
In his remarks, Hawash Hussein noted that people had grown bored and psychologically effected by the restrictions. The health requirements should not be a problem if everyone abides by them.
In her statement, Hind Al-Ahmad acknowledged that she is not in favor of allowing everyone enter malls because the situation remains dangerous and may increase the number of infections, and that measures should be taken against those who enter public places without following health regulations.
After returning to normal life, Talal Al-Enezi said all activities must be opened, including those who received the vaccine, but said strengthening immunity and prevention are most important, but that life should return to normal as before the outbreak of the pandemic.
Ahmed Al-Rashidi acknowledged that the restrictions would be removed and vaccinations would be compulsory for everyone, but unfortunately, there are a lot of doctors who are negative about the vaccine and have deterred people from taking it. Since things are fine now, there is no objection to opening public places and complexes to the public. Health Ministry is performing its duties well."
Despite the easing of restrictions, Mosab Ghanem believes everyone should receive the vaccine since the epidemic is still spreading. For that reason, he is opposed to the easing of restrictions.
Umm Khaled said Kuwait and other countries must ease restrictions for everyone in the context of health issues, indicating that the culture is divided between those that believe in vaccination and those that do not, and that, for this reason, life can return to normal for everyone, while adhering to the health requirements.
