A Total Of 120 Vacant Jobs Waiting To Be Filling
According to Al-Qabas daily, reliable sources report that more than 120 vacancies exist in government institutions, including undersecretaries and assistant undersecretaries. The same sources pointed out that there is a tendency not to delay appointing senior officials to fill these vacant posts, to ensure the development of government work does not come to a standstill.
In any case, the sources added, the appointments must follow the laid out procedures, the most important of which is that candidates must pass a test that has been approved by decree. The same sources said the test is mandatory and doing away with it can be done only by another decree, while at the same time the sources said amending some procedures for the test is not ruled out and the minimum degree for passing the test, pointing out that any modification must ensure the selection of competent people.
According to the sources, the government is committed to developing the work of the administrative apparatus, and that a number of projects related to this area can be carried out, including the Civil Service Commission's project to build a government training and examination center.
