99,500 Work Permits Issued To Expats In Kuwait

The Kuwaiti authorities have issued 99,508 work permits and permanently cancelled 38,442 others since the start of the year.
Deputy Chairman of the Manpower Authority for expat labour affairs Hassan Al-Khadher said that dozens of invalid work permits had been abrogated after checking the data with Ministry of Interior.
“The action was enforced, based on the rules governing the issuance of work permits”, he said.
The law provisions stipulate the automatic cancellation of permits if six months elapse while the worker is outside Kuwait.
