Kuwait Municipality announced today, Sunday, the imposition of fines and financial violations amounting to 3,400 million Kuwaiti dinars (about 11.22 million US dollars) to some companies that are not committed to renewing licenses for their activities established on state property.
The director of the safety department in the Ahmadi municipality branch of Al-Hamidi Al-Mutairi said in a press statement that the department has implemented several field trips to a number of companies in the southern region to ensure the existence of the license and the validity of the safety license and the license to upgrade the activity to the state properties.
Al-Mutairi added that the inspections carried out by the inspectors resulted in the liberation of 16 violations, due to the lack of a license, the expiry of private catering licenses for some of these companies, and their exploitation of lands belonging to state property.
He stressed that the campaigns are continuous and intensive to monitor all violations and take all legal measures against them immediately, based on the directives of the higher management in the municipality to intensify the campaigns and ensure all licenses granted, whether safety licenses or chipping.
Al-Mutairi called on the owners of companies to abide by all the regulations and regulations enacted by the municipality and to accelerate the implementation of the necessary procedures to extract all licenses related to this regard in order to avoid the violation and the fine.
For its part, the Public Relations Department called on citizens and residents to call the hotline 139, which operates around the clock, or communicate via the municipality accounts on social media or via WhatsApp 24727732 in case of any complaints related to the municipality
