325,000 Kuwaiti Families While Expat Families Doubled

Kuwaiti society is predominantly characterized by a strong social and familial structure, according to the latest official statistics from the Public Authority for Civil Information.

By the middle of this year, there were 526,864 Kuwaiti citizens registered as spouses, while approximately 393,239 were unmarried. Conversely, the data shows that the number of expat bachelors/spinsters stood at 1,172,188, while 1,688,477 expatriates were reported as married. Approximately 325,852 Kuwaiti families and 603,756 expatriate families lived in Kuwait by the middle of the year, bringing the total number of families in Kuwait to 929,608
