24 Imams Suspended Over The Past 3 Years For Not Abiding By The Charter Of Mosques

The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Muhammad Al-Jabri, said 24 imams were suspended over the past three years for not abiding by the Charter of Mosques.

Al-Jabri added these imams are not permitted to organize seminars in mosques, but can hold cultural and legitimate activity in accordance with the cultural plan adopted by the Mosques Department.

Al-Jabri said in a reply to a parliamentary query raised by MP Ahmad Al-Fadhel, that the Mosque Charter stipulates the use of appropriate words, and not abusing people, bodies, sects or states.
