209 Expatriates Arrested For Residency Violations

In a swift and comprehensive operation, the Ministry of Interior conducted surprise inspections in Mahboula, Sabah Al-Nasser, Sharq, Hawalli, and Al-Fahaheel, resulting in the apprehension of 162 expatriates for violating residency laws. The focus of the campaign was on unauthorized food trucks and other unapproved businesses operating in the areas.

Among the detained individuals, 47 were arrested for working under a different sponsor, while four were discovered to be employed in a fraudulent domestic workers' office. The total number of expatriates arrested reached 209, and legal measures have been initiated against these individuals. They are currently being referred to the relevant authorities for further action.
