2 Egyptian Expats On Travel Ban List Exit Through Kuwait International Airport
Officers from the General Department of Residency Investigations affiliated to the Citizenship and Passport Affairs Sector in Ministry of Interior managed to track down two Egyptian expatriates who succeeded in leaving the country illegally through Kuwait International Airport. According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the suspects Esmat Hassan Mahmoud and Maher Sami Hana escaped from the country regardless of the travel ban placed on them, which was reflected in the list of departing passengers. The department contacted the Interpol, which confirmed their presence in Egypt. Investigations revealed that their passports were duly stamped by the airport staff.
A case (No. 408/2016) was filed at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station in this regard. Meanwhile, the officers also arrested representative (mandoub) of a company named Akram Abdul-Rauf who allegedly falsified five sponsorships.
Reportedly, a Kuwaiti man revealed to the authorities that five strange names were registered under his company’s sponsorship. A team of detectives was assigned to investigate the matter and they eventually discovered that the mandoub of the company perpetrated the act by forging the signature of the company owner. He has been referred to the concerned authority for necessary legal action.
