Traffic Preparations For The Resumption Of School
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has taken all necessary traffic preparations for the resumption of schools for all educational levels on Sunday, February 4 following the end of the mid-year break. According to a security source, security and traffic patrols will be deployed in all areas and roads today, and officers will be present on the ground to deal with any congestion. The traffic presence will contribute to reducing traffic congestion on the roads through direct follow-up in the operations room to direct patrol teams at crowded sites to facilitate motorists. In a related context, the General Traffic Department last week dealt with 2,018 reports of traffic accidents, including 245 serious accidents. It also issued 22,901 traffic citations, impounded 75 vehicles and 62 motorcycles, referred 11 reckless drivers to traffic custody, referred 21 juveniles to the juvenile prosecution for driving vehicles without a driving license, arrested seven violators of the residency law, and seized 58 wanted vehicles.
