Toddler, Old Man Die In Mishaps
A Kuwaiti man in his 60s died when he was hit by a car while crossing a street in Jahra area, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, a Kuwaiti woman had stopped her car on the road in order to allow the elderly man to cross the street.
However, she was shocked when a motorist crashed into her car from behind and then ran over the victim.
The victim was rushed to the nearest hospital but it was too late as he was declared dead on arrival. A case has been registered against the woman, and both she and the other motorist have been referred to the concerned authorities.
Toddler dies in mishap: A two-year old Kuwaiti boy died and his 30-year old father sustained serious injuries when their vehicle crashed into a heavy vehicle on Jahra Road near Amghara Bridge on Wednesday, says Al-Seyassah.
The two victims were trapped inside the vehicle after the accident, and firefighters managed to rescue them after cutting open the vehicle. The corpse of the child was referred to the Forensics Department, and the father has been referred to Jahra Hospital where he was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit in serious condition.
Meanwhile, two vehicles collided on Fourth Ring Road resulting in injuries to a Kuwaiti citizen. When the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the accident, securitymen, paramedics and firefighters rushed to the location. The citizen was referred to the nearest hospital for treatment. The two vehicles were removed from the road and the traffic was organized. Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the accident
