06 February 2024 Crime News

Security personnel at an undisclosed port have initiated an investigation into three expatriates, all in their thirties, on charges of illegally entering and facilitating entry into a restricted area using a forged permit belonging to another expatriate.

According to a source within the security apparatus, two of the expatriates were apprehended during their attempted entry. Upon inspection, it was revealed that one possessed a legitimate permit, while the other presented a permit that did not belong to him, as reported by Al-Anba daily.

Further probing uncovered the involvement of a third expatriate as an accomplice. During interrogation, all defendants admitted to their roles in the incident. The first defendant confessed to receiving a permit from the third defendant, intending to facilitate the entry of the second defendant into the facility for work-related purposes. This arrangement purportedly occurred through mutual agreement among the three defendants.

Detective investigations corroborated the involvement of the first, second, and third defendants in the incident. The first defendant, operating the vehicle, obtained a permit from the third defendant, which, in reality, belonged to an unrelated individual. The genuine entry permit of this individual was discovered in the possession of the third accused.
