The Masar Initiative Receives Support For Digital Transformation

Dr. Ammar Al-Husseini, Acting Director General of the Information Technology Agency, unveiled the success of the "Masar" initiative during the recent gathering of 11 Arab e-government directors in Dubai. Hosted by the UAE Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority and organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the meeting witnessed enthusiastic endorsement for "Masar" as a pivotal driver of digital transformation across government agencies.

The initiative, under Al-Husseini's stewardship, garnered widespread approval from participating nations for its role in shaping digital transformation roadmaps tailored to individual agency competencies and priorities. Al-Husseini expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase the initiative's objectives, methodology, and implementation strategies, noting the keen interest and willingness of Arab countries to collaborate on its deployment within their borders.

Key discussions at the event highlighted ESCWA's pivotal role in supporting digital transformation endeavors across Arab nations. Participating countries also shared insights, expertise, and innovative projects aimed at accelerating the region's digital evolution.

Emphasizing the significance of such gatherings in fostering international cooperation and knowledge sharing, Al-Husseini reaffirmed the agency's commitment to enhancing citizen services through digital innovation.

Engineer Abdul Karim Al-Fawzan, head of the agency's digital services planning and development department, further elaborated on the "Sahl Lab" initiative. Launched under the auspices of the Ministry of State for Communications Affairs, "Sahl Lab" seeks to engage stakeholders and specialists from diverse societal backgrounds to enhance the user experience of the unified government application "easy."
